CREAGAN MHOR - LUXURY HIGHLAND HOME. IDEAL FOR FAMILY HOLIDAYS.

NEW ENQUIRIES FROM JUNE 2026

Creagan Mhor is a mile from the village of Glenelg, and is one of the most spectacularly positioned houses on the North Western Sea Board. This renovated 1865 Church Manse stands proudly at the top of the Sound of Sleat [Gaelic for smooth or even] a short Kayak ride from the wild and beautiful South Eastern side of Skye. The house  looks down the Sound with breathtaking views of Skye, Gavin Maxwell’s Sandaig, Eigg, Rhum and Ardnamurchan point.

Creagan Mhor itself, set in nearly an acre of highland garden with access to the beach, from a gate in the garden, is marked on Admiralty maps, as occasional ships and yachts make their slow but steady progress through one of the most stunning waterways on earth, South or North towards Rhona, Kyle and Applecross and beyond. Creagan Mhor [meaning large rock, which you can’t miss on the beach] is situated half way between the village and the original ferry to Skye, the house is quite simply unique. Lovingly renovated to a high standard, it is warm, spacious, friendly, bright - and magical.

Creagan Mhor Experience Edit 2 4 5 26

"Creagan Mhor is a beautiful, spacious house in a perfect setting for views, walks, bike rides, swims, paddles, fishing and most importantly relaxing.

It easily and comfortably catered for our party with good accommodation and a very well equipped kitchen. The weather was mixed, but the house was always warm with plenty of hot water and a cosy living room. Everything was thought of and provided for and the house immaculate."
